Grocery Delivery to Your Orlando Resort

I don’t want to have to cook or clean up a meal mess on vacation. If I have to prepare a meal, then the trip is no longer considered vacation, it’s just normal life. When we stay at resorts in Orlando however, we do like to have a few items in our room for the sake of convenience. We like to have breakfast items that we can eat on the run, snacks that we can toss in our backpack to eat in the park, and lots of bottled water. If you are driving to Orlando, the solution is easy - make a stop when you arrive in town, before you head to your resort. Those of us that fly don’t want to carry a separate suitcase with these supplies, so we rely on some great grocery delivery options in the Orlando area. Below are three services that the On The Road Travel Team have used and can recommend. Garden Grocer - This website offers several categories from which you can select items. Whether you want baby wipes or bottled water, Garden Grocery can deliver it to you. There is a $14.00 deliver...

Making Memories at the Magic Kingdom

You have been looking forward to your Walt Disney World vacation for quite some time. You have your dining reservations set. All of the Fastpass+ selections have been scheduled. You left the resort and are ready for a memorable day at Magic Kingdom! Below are a few bits of advice that will help leave lasting impressions... -A Quick Photo Op - Take a picture in front of Walt Disney World entrance at the Main Street Train Station. This photo opportunity will be sure to display the excitement of entering Magic Kingdom and is a magical moment. Remember....the photographer will need to scan your magic band! They are also happy to take photos on your own camera or phone! -Pick up a Magic Kingdom Times Guide - This flier is near the entrance and will provide details of experiences offered in the park throughout the day (character greeting times, show times, hours of operations, etc). This information is also located on the Disney World app and on the Disney World website , but it is...

2018 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival

Disney World’s 23rd Annual Food and Wine Festival will begin in less than two weeks! This festival brings 75 glorious days of food and wine from around the world in appetizer-sized portions for your eating pleasure. The festival will run from August 30th through November 12th. This is my favorite time of year to visit WDW. The fall months tend to be cooler and the crowds tend to be smaller. Since most kids are back in school, you can also catch a good deal on your favorite WDW property for your stay. In addition to enjoying your favorite dishes from every country in the World Showcase, there is also a Eat to the Beat Concert Series. These concerts are included in the price of your ticket to Epcot. Artists this year range from Air Supply to Boyz II Men to Sugar Ray. Pick up your favorite snacks and head over to the America Gardens Theatre at World Showcase for some of your favorite tunes. If that isn’t enough, Epcot offers cheese and beverage seminars and culinary demonstrati...

Top Reasons to Spend Spring Break in Orlando

Spring Break is the one time of year when it seems almost everyone gets some time off to go on vacation. Kids have the week off of school and most people have some saved up vacation. So how do you decide where to take your family trip? Spring Break can have a reputation for a “party vacation” and maybe that’s for you, but when you have younger kids in tow, it’s probably not the ideal. That’s what makes Orlando such a great choice for many families! You get the sun and fun you might get in Cancun, but with a little less party. One of the best reasons to visit Orlando during Spring Break is the annual Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. This year, it spanned from February 28 through May 28, so no matter when your spring break is, you’ll be able to catch this wonderful festival. Not only are there beautiful topiaries and gardens throughout Epcot, there are also bonus food and drink kiosks! The festival also features the Garden Rocks Concert Series. Past acts have included Survivor, R...

What is a Single Rider Line?

Save Time with Single Rider Lines   You want make the most of your time while visiting Disney parks. Using FastPasses will save you lots of time by allowing you to bypass the standby line but you might not know that certain rides have a 3rd line – the single rider line. This line is a great option for anyone who doesn’t mind filling in those single seats left open by odd-numbered groups. While you won’t likely be sitting directly next to the people in your traveling party, you’ll often find yourselves in the same vehicle, and it offers a faster wait so you spend less time in line and more time enjoying all that the parks have to offer! To save yourself some extra time the next time you’re in the parks be sure to see if the single-rider lines are available at the following attractions: Walt Disney World - Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster   - Expedition Everest - Test Track - Space Mountain Disneyland - Matterhorn - Splash Mountain - Indiana Jones Adventure - Radiator Springs ...
