Restaurant Marrakesh

Updated 6/16/22 For the most up-to-date information about the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the   Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide. A s of the writing of this post, Restaurant Marrakesh is temporarily unavailable during the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort. Epcot is widely known for allowing guests to have amazing experiences from different countries and cultures. Restaurant Marrakesh, which opened in September 1984, is not one to disappoint. Since it is located in the Moroccan Pavilion at Epcot, you will need a park ticket and park reservation for Epcot to dine at this restaurant, and it does except the Disney Dining Plan, when available. This is a table service restaurant and is available for both lunch and dinner. Lunch is served from 12:00pm-3:15pm and is really a great value if you are looking for a table service for lunch. Dinner has a few rather expensive entrees, and it is served from 3:30pm until park close. T...

The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort

Updated 4/6/2022 Be sure to request a Resort Guide at the front desk so that you can have the most up-to-date information about resort happenings and schedules.  For the most up-to-date information about the phased re-opening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the  Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide. For guests looking to experience Disney as well as the great outdoors, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Cabins are a perfect fit! These cabins are nestled in the woods, but amazingly within minutes of the Magic Kingdom. I absolutely love how the cabins are secluded with the perfect rustic touch, as well as some awesome onsite amenities that are perfect for every age!   The Cabins at Fort Wilderness are considered a moderate resort, and the prices vary slightly depending on the season of travel. I strongly suggest this option for large families, or even friends/family that are looking to split the cost of a larger resort. Because the cabins have full kitchens, you...

Art of Animation Resort

Updated 2/3/2022 Be sure to request a Resort Guide at the front desk so that you can have the most up-to-date information about resort happenings and schedules.  For the most up-to-date information about the phased re-opening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide. The best way to describe Art of Animation to potential guests is that it's like stepping out of reality and directly into the pages of animation for The Walt Disney Company. Being a guest at this resort truly feels like you are part of the movies! From the moment you step into the main building at Animation Hall, you are surrounded by sketches from some of your favorite Disney movies. The walls are filled with color and the architecture and lighting is fantastic! Art of Animation is themed around four movies - The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and Cars - and when I say theming, it is truly an understatement.    Location: Art of Animation is l...

Traveling to Disney Outnumbered by Kids

We all know that Ohana means family, but in my family, the adults are outnumbered! On our most recent trip to Walt Disney World, there were 5 kids and 2 adults. The kids ranged in ages of 10 years old to just a year old, and to say that my Fiancé and I were a little stressed out about it would be an understatement. Booking a room for 7 can sometimes be a challenge in and ofitself. We decided the best plan for us was to book two separate but adjoining rooms at All Star Sports. The older kids loved the fact that they were able to have their “own” room, even if we never shut the adjoining door. Plus, it also allowed us enough room to store all of our luggage and since there was double the space, we had double some of the items that you need when traveling with toddlers and young children - like the pack n play.   Trouble can also arise once you get to the parks and are looking to ride some rides. Many times, not everyone wants to ride - Haunted Mansion might be too scary for little o...

Meet Me Monday: Julie Boardman

We’re kicking off the summer by welcoming a new team member to the On The Road Travel family. Julie Boardman is the newest member of our team and we are excited to introduce her to you!   Julie’s love for Disney started back in 1986, when she was only 6 months old. That Christmas, her Mom took her to Walt Disney World for the very first time, and from that point on she was hooked! Julie and her family visited Disney World at least once a year up until she graduated high school. In addition to visiting Walt Disney World often, Julie and her family also visited Disneyland and sailed on Disney Cruise Line. Julie estimates her total number of Walt Disney World visits are in the hundreds and she will forever choose Disney as her #1 vacation spot! Julie has helped many friends and family members book their vacations over the years and is excited to start doing it as a career!   Julie went to college at Indiana University, majoring in Paralegal Studies, but decided after two years ...
