Sci-Fi Dine-In

Updated 6/16/22 For the most up-to-date information about the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the   Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide. One of the sit down dining restaurant options at Hollywood Studios is Sci-Fi Dine-In. Sci-Fi Dine-In has such a fun atmosphere! Guests sit at a table/booth that looks like you are sitting in a classic car facing a drive in theater screen. Cast Members call these “automo-booths.” Guests who are not seated in one of these automo-booths are seated at picnic style tables scattered around the perimeter of the restaurant. The lights are dimmed (and air conditioning feels AMAZING on a hot Florida day), so it feels like you are at a drive in watching old sci-fi movie clips while enjoying your meal. Since Sci-Fi Dine-In is located in Hollywood Studios, a valid park ticket and park pass reservation are required to dine there. Dining reservations are highly recommended, The best way to get to this restaurant from your resort

Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano

Updated 6/16/22 For the most up-to-date information about the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the   Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide. Tucked away in a corner of Disney’s Hollywood Studios near Grand Avenue sits a charming Italian restaurant that deserves a little attention and fanfare. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano is located in what appears to be a prop storage/equipment warehouse in an area that was utilized by the studios for shooting movies based in New York City’s Little Italy. The menu is a twist on California-Italian cuisine.  The ambiance can be described as “homey Italian” with a mixture of movie memorabilia, Italian-American records, celebrity photos, and countless trinkets. There is nothing fancy about the restaurant and I believe that is what makes it a very unique dining destination. The seating varies from large comfortable booths to tables with mismatched wood chairs. It all rounds up to a very cozy and relaxed experience. Ma

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

Updated 6/16/22 For the most up-to-date information about the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the   Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide. Located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is, “A hilarious, high-spirited hootenanny the whole family will enjoy, accompanied by a finger-lickin’ countrified feast.” This is one of the special dinner show experiences at Walt Disney World and happens three times each night. While it’s off the beaten path of the Disney Resort, it is certainly worth the trip. This is a popular experience, and we would definitely recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the doors open at 4:00PM, 6:15PM, or 8:30PM. Seating will begin immediately, and the show will start 20 minutes later. Because the Hoop-Dee-Doo is over at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, there are a few different ways to get there. If you’re using resort transportation, be sure to give yourself plenty of time - we recommend a

Four Seasons Resort Orlando

Updated 7/26/2022 Be sure to request a Resort Guide at the front desk so that you can have the most up-to-date information about resort happenings and schedules. I didn’t want to leave - three nights just wasn’t long enough to enjoy and take in all of the amazing amenities that the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World has to offer. This AAA Five Diamond Resort is a lakeside dream come true!  Did I go to a theme park - nope, I didn’t set foot in one and I didn’t even want to after my friend and I arrived at the resort. Normally, I’m a “Stay on Disney Property and Go to the Theme Parks” type of gal, but this trip was different, and I wasn’t even tempted by the lure of the parks. While the Four Seasons Resort Orlando Resort makes a wonderful home base when you plan to visit Orlando Theme Parks, it’s also a great location for a getaway that does not include the parks. Driving through Golden Oak, you quickly realize that you’re not in Orlando anymore. The resort is located in an

Morimoto Asia

Updated 6/16/22 For the most up-to-date information about the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the   Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide. Iron Chef Morimoto has his very own restaurant in Disney Springs, and you will not want to miss it if you love Pan-Asian cuisine like I do! You may have heard of Morimoto Asia from bingeing the Food Network’s Iron Chef (as I am known to do). Morimoto’s take on Chinese, Japanese and Korean dishes creates an unforgettable dining experience. Because this restaurant is at Disney Springs, you do not need a park ticket to dine, but I would definitely recommend getting a reservation ahead of time. You can take WDW transportation to Disney Springs from your resort hotel or any of the parks. If you prefer to drive, complimentary parking is available in one of the many parking garages. Morimoto Asia is a Signature Dining experience (I mean, he is an Iron Chef after all), so you can expect to spend around $25 per entree at
