s of the writing of this post, Restaurant Marrakesh is temporarily unavailable during the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort.

Epcot is widely known for allowing guests to have amazing experiences from different countries and cultures. Restaurant Marrakesh, which opened in September 1984, is not one to disappoint. Since it is located in the Moroccan Pavilion at Epcot, you will need a park ticket and park reservation for Epcot to dine at this restaurant, and it does except the Disney Dining Plan, when available. This is a table service restaurant and is available for both lunch and dinner. Lunch is served from 12:00pm-3:15pm and is really a great value if you are looking for a table service for lunch. Dinner has a few rather expensive entrees, and it is served from 3:30pm until park close. This is a great restaurant choice for a last-minute reservation as it typically has openings throughout the day.

Tucked away in the beauty of the Moroccan pavilion, many guests just pass it by without even realizing it’s a restaurant. However, once you step in you are instantly transported into the exotic beauty of Morocco. From the gorgeous stained-glass lanterns to the intricate tile work throughout the dining room, you are sure to be blown away by how stunning this restaurant is. The food and atmosphere aren’t the only reasons to visit this dining location. Throughout your meal you will hear beautiful traditional music from Moroccan musicians, and you will also see an amazing performance by belly dancers throughout the restaurant.

Now onto the best part, the food! Marrakesh has an assortment of appetizers, from A Taste of Moroccan Salads ($13.99), to an Appetizer Sampler Platter for Two ($17.99), that allows you to taste the Chicken Bastilla - a puff pastry filled with chicken, almonds and cinnamon; the Beef Brewat Rolls - seasoned beef in a cinnamon coated puff pastry; and the Jasmina salad. For entrees, there are a few different options for kebabs, such as the Chicken Kebab ($25.99), as well as the Grilled Beef Tenderloin Shish Kebab ($29.99). They also offer Roasted Lamb Shank ($28.99), and a few different Couscous and Tangine options as well. If you are feeling up to trying an assortment of different traditional options, they offer a Taste of Morocco - Three Course Meal ($54.99) at dinner only, featuring A Taste of Morocco Salads, Couscous Royal - featuring multiple options to choose from and seven vegetables, and for dessert, everyone’s favorite - assorted Baklavas.

If you are in the mood to step out of your comfort zone, and are looking to expand your cuisine culture, then Marrakesh is the perfect dining experience for you. The beautifully intricate décor alone deserves a trip into the pavilion, but once you add in the music and belly dancing it surely isn’t one to miss! I strongly believe that Restaurant Marrakesh is Epcot’s best kept secret, and I can’t wait for you to try it!

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. And o
