Disneyland Hotel

Become immersed in the spirit of Disneyland past and present! If you love Disney nostalgia, this resort will delight with its artwork and memorabilia that pay homage to the history and traditions of Disneyland. Stay in the Adventure, Fantasy, or Frontier tower—each an homage to the park’s original lands—and delight in the sleek, ultra-modern design at every turn. Located just steps from the Downtown Disney District, this hotel is a short stroll to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

Rooms at the Disneyland Hotel are both sophisticated and whimsical, paying loving tribute to the classic years of Disneyland Park. Upscale styling, state-of-the-art amenities, and special Disney furnishings—including light-up Sleeping Beauty Castle headboards and timeless artwork—provide a stay your entire family will treasure.

Most rooms at Disneyland Hotel sleep up to five guests in two queen beds and a fold down sofa. Rooms are offered in standard, deluxe, premium, and premium Downtown Disney views. Disneyland Hotel offers a variety of suites, ranging from one to three bedrooms. The themed suites in the Adventure Tower are sure to delight Disney fans. The suites are offered in several themes: Adventureland, Big Thunder, Fairytale, Mickey Mouse, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Even if you don’t stay in one of the suites, head up to the top floor of the Adventure Tower and check out the really cool themed doors.

If you want to treat yourself to an exceptional Disneyland Hotel experience, book a Club Level Room. Guests in the Club rooms have exclusive access to the E-Ticket Club in the Adventure Tower. Continental breakfast is offered in the morning and snacks are available in the afternoon. During the evening, guests can take advantage of wine and cheese, appetizers, and desserts. Beverages are offered throughout the day, including wine and beer. We love staying Club Level because of the fireworks viewing offered in the lounge - with the music piped right in for you to enjoy. The staff is exceptional and will make you feel right at home during your stay. Because of the proximity of the resorts to the parks, it makes Club Level rooms easily accessible during a Disneyland Resort visit.

The Disneyland Hotel offers some nice dining options.
  • Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers something for adults and youngsters alike. This quick service location offers mobile ordering.
  • The Coffee House is a quick service location that serves freshly brewed coffee specialties, other assorted beverages, snacks, and fresh pastries. Mobile ordering is offered.
  • Goofy’s Kitchen serves breakfast and dinner daily with some of your favorite Disney friends. Reservations are strongly recommended for this buffet.
  • Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar is a Disneyland legend, and no visit to the resort would be complete without it. While dining options are offered for lunch and dinner, Sam’s famous drinks are the highlight of the menu. A very limited number of reservations are offered. You can join the walk up list via the Disneyland App, or you can stop by at your convenience to check on the wait time.
The sun shines most all year-round in Southern California, so planning a pool day is a must. Guests can make a splash at the resort’s two Monorail waterslides, themed after the classic park attraction, and cool off in the nearby water play area. For a more tranquil swim, guests can cool off in the E-Ticket and D-Ticket pools. The Mickey and Minnie Spa whirlpools are great spigots to wind-down after a day in the parks. Poolside cabanas are available for an additional fee.

A variety of guest activities are offered, including seasonal events at select times throughout the year. Pool parties, character meet and greets, fitness classes, cultural programs, and more are offered. Visit the Guest Services Desk for a schedule and more information. Spa services are offered at the Tenaya Stone Spa at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Resort.

Disneyland Hotel has two retail stores in the Fantasy Tower. Disney’s Fantasia Shop and Small World Gifts & Sundries offer special edition pins, toys, apparel, collectibles, and sundries. If you forgot sunscreen or need to pick up a souvenir for a friend, stop by one of these shopping locations.

If you are driving to The Disneyland Hotel, be sure to budget for parking. Self-parking is $35 per night, per vehicle. ChargePoint charging stations are available at the Fantasy self-parking lot.

“Why should I stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel?” you might ask. The benefits are pretty nice:
  • Early Entry - enjoy park entry 30 minutes before regular park opening.
  • Package delivery - when you purchase items at select locations, they can be delivered to your resort for pick up the following day.
  • Room Charging - Don’t worry about carrying a lot of cash or credit cards - charge your purchases directly to your room account.
  • Dining Delivery - Select restaurants in the Downtown Disney District provide meal delivery. Scan the QR code from your in-room TV to access menus and more information.
  • Preferred Dining Access - COMING SOON, guests will have the opportunity to have preferred access to a limited number of reservations at select hotel table service restaurants.
One of the best things about visiting Disneyland, and staying at a Disneyland Resort, is that you can walk to and from the parks. You don’t have to set foot on a bus, boat, or Monorail (though it is fun to take a spin on the Monorail!) - from your door to park entrance is a 10 minute or less walk. This makes mid-day breaks a breeze, and means you don’t have to wait for transportation. And if you want to park hop, it’s less than 300 feet from the Disneyland gates to the California Adventure gates.

We guarantee a visit to The Disneyland Resort will not disappoint. To learn more or to start planning your trip, contact your On The Road Travel agent. Don’t forget to connect with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
