Paradise Pier Hotel

Just Announced: Work continues to transform Paradise Pier Hotel into Pixar Place Hotel, where guests will feel as though they’ve stepped into a Pixar art gallery featuring new interpretations of favorite Pixar pals. As changes are made, and new experiences are added, we’ll be sure to update this post.

Celebrate the heyday of California beachfront boardwalks at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. Step back in time at this old-fashioned yet modern hotel—home to a variety of dining, shopping and recreation locations—and ride a wave of relaxation from your charming seaside-themed room all the way up to the rooftop pool for some welcome fun in the sun.

Stay in rooms that reflect the casual yet elegant beachfront pavilion hotels of the early 1920s. Sand and surf themed furnishings and décor, elegant park-influenced artwork, and all the modern amenities you would expect from a Disney Resort hotel make this a perfect fit for families looking for a whimsical yet restful stay.

Featuring rooms for almost any size family, select accommodations at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel even offer views of Disney California Adventure Park. Standard and premium view rooms sleep up to five guests in two queen beds and a daybed. One, two, and three bedroom suites, named after California beaches, come in five themes: Dana Point, Huntington, Laguna, Malibu, and Newport.

If you want to treat yourself to an upgraded experience, book a Club Level Room. Guests in the Club rooms have exclusive access to the Beachcomber Club, located on the 2nd floor of the resort. Continental breakfast is offered in the morning and snacks are available in the afternoon. During the evening, guests can take advantage of wine and cheese, appetizers, and desserts. Beverages are offered throughout the day, including wine and beer. Because of the proximity of the resorts to the parks, it’s very easy to swing back to the resort to enjoy your Club Level benefits during your Disneyland Resort visit.

Dining options at Paradise Pier are very limited at this time. We hope that more options will be offered in the coming months. A self-serve market with food and beverage options is available near the lobby

Southern California weather lends itself to a pool day….or two. Make a splash, cool off or catch some rays on the resort’s panoramic rooftop pool deck. The whole family can enjoy a dip in the Paradise Pool or a fast-paced, twisting plunge down the California Streamin’ waterslide. Young ones can make a splash in the Children’s Pool, while adults in need of a little rest and relaxation can lounge in the Paradise Spa whirlpool.

Fireworks viewing? Yes, please! On select nights, view Disneyland Park fireworks from the rooftop pool deck at Paradise Pier Hotel, while the music and dialogue from the show are broadcast to the deck. This is a great way to end a magical day!

A variety of guest activities are offered, including seasonal events at select times throughout the year. Pool parties, character meet and greets, fitness classes, cultural programs, and more are offered. Visit the Guest Services Desk for a schedule and more information. Spa services are offered at the Tenaya Stone Spa at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Resort, located just across the street from Paradise Pier.

Paradise Pier has one shopping location in the lobby of the hotel. Mickey in Paradise offers a treasure trove of California keepsakes, Disney gifts, and essential sundries.

If you are driving to Paradise Pier, be sure to budget for parking. Self-parking is $35 per night, per vehicle.

“Why should I stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel?” you might ask. The benefits are pretty nice:
  • Early Entry - enjoy park entry 30 minutes before regular park opening.
  • Dedicated Entrance to California Adventure - Located just across the street from Paradise Pier, this entrance into California Adventure is only for Disney Resort Guests. Be prepared to show your room key.
  • Package delivery - when you purchase items at select locations, they can be delivered to your resort for pick up the following day.
  • Room Charging - Don’t worry about carrying a lot of cash or credit cards - charge your purchases directly to your room account.
  • Dining Delivery - Select restaurants in the Downtown Disney District provide meal delivery. Scan the QR code from your in-room TV to access menus and more information.
  • Preferred Dining Access - COMING SOON, guests will have the opportunity to have preferred access to a limited number of reservations at select hotel table service restaurants.
One of the best things about visiting Disneyland, and staying at a Disneyland Resort, is that you can walk to and from the parks. You don’t have to set foot on a bus, boat, or Monorail (though it is fun to take a spin on the Monorail!) - from your door to the park entrance is a 10 minute or less walk. This makes mid-day breaks a breeze, and means you don’t have to wait for transportation. And if you want to park hop, it’s less than 300 feet from the Disneyland gates to the California Adventure gates.

We guarantee a visit to The Disneyland Resort will not disappoint. To learn more or to start planning your trip, contact your On The Road Travel agent. Don’t forget to connect with us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. And o
