Maria & Enzo's Ristorante

Maria and Enzo’s Ristorante is a southern Italian inspired table service restaurant located in the The Landing at Disney Springs. It is open daily for lunch from 11:30AM to 3:30PM and dinner from 4:00 to 10:00PM. Brunch is offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30AM to 3:30 PM. When the Disney Dining Plan is available this meal is one table service credit.

This restaurant has transformed an abandoned airline terminal into an airy, vivacious establishment including 50-foot high ceilings, a grand staircase, and floor to ceiling views of Lake Buena Vista. The dining room is wide open with seating available at both tables and booths on both levels of the restaurant. A colorful mural of travel destinations encircles the entire area. A metallic globe anchors the space from above.

This restaurant boasts a mouthwatering but not overwhelmingly large menu with a variety of family-friendly options. Handcrafted pastas, salads, and richly flavored  steaks are all offered along with complimentary bread. Maria and Enzo’s also offers an extensive wine list along with drinks including daily flights, which is very clever.

I visited Maria and Enzo’s on Valentine’s Day a few years ago with my wife and two boys. My wife had three Valentines that day and we all had a wonderful experience. When we first arrived, the hostess gave both of my sons aviator pins which they immediately put on and led us to one of the booths on the first floor. For an appetizer, we ordered the Caciocavallo Fritto (not currently on the menu) which hit the spot! I’m a fan of an appetizer that is going to still allow me to enjoy eating most of my main entree, and these were perfect. For an entree, my wife went with the Linguini and Chicken, while I went with the classic Chicken Parmigiana (neither of these entrees are currently available). Both portions were large and delicious. It is kind of hard to go wrong with this combo of food choices, but you’d be surprised how many restaurants take these for granted and deliver less than satisfying meals. However, this was not the case at Maria & Enzo’s! The chicken was cooked perfectly and the flavors were spot on. My wife’s chicken was very moist and the linguini was al dente.

The pricing is what I would consider above average when it comes to Disney, which should be expected at a place such as this. Appetizers range from $13-17 while the entrees go from $20 all the way up to $45. Overall, I would recommend a visit to Mario and Enzo’s on your next Disney vacation.

Advance reservations are highly recommended. This location does accept same day reservations. For general questions, please call (407) 560-VINO or (407) 560-8466. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.

Getting to Maria and Enzo’s is simple when staying onsite at a Disney Resort. Simply hop on the bus heading to Disney Springs and enjoy the ride. Remember that buses from Disney Springs go to resorts only - not the parks. If you are staying off site, complimentary parking is available in the parking garages at Disney Springs. Park Pass Reservations and Park tickets are not required to dine at Disney Springs locations.

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
