When guests hear the term, “wine bar,” many immediately think that it is not a location for children. I’ve dined at Wine Bar George several times and on each occasion, I’ve seen families enjoying meals together. Don’t let “wine bar” throw you for a loop - this is a great dining experience for all ages.
Master Sommelier, George Miliotes, brings his renowned wine expertise to Disney Springs. George is no stranger to Walt Disney World - he was part of the opening team of California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. He is one of 269 Master Sommeliers in the world, and Wine Bar George is the only Master Sommelier-led wine bar in Florida. George is a hands-on owner and can often be seen making the rounds through the restaurant greeting guests and assisting staff.
Lunch (noon - 3:00PM) and dinner (3:05PM - 11:00PM) are offered daily and brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 AM to 2:00PM. Wine Bar George offers more than 140 wines by the glass, bottle, and ounce. The restaurant offers a full menu of tasty cuisine, with options to complement every wine. The stars of the menu are the appetizers - start off with small plates like hummus, spiced olives, and house-made meatballs. The cheese boards and charcuterie are works of art!
Lunch features three sandwiches that are not offered on the dinner menu - chicken salad, steak, and BLT+C. Dinner includes a Ribeye and chicken dish, in addition to Wine Bar George’s famous family style plates with your choice of skirt steak or grilled whole sea bass. My family enjoyed the skirt steak, served with roasted potatoes, chimichurri, and seasonal vegetables (asparagus for the win!), and it was a hit with all four of us. The dessert menu is small, but Gideon’s Bakery is just across the way, so you can always stop by there for a delicious treat.
Wine Bar George hasn’t forgotten about the kiddos. The kids’ menu includes chicken tenders, mac and cheese, house-made meatballs and a hot dog. Kids meals are served with fresh fruit and a drink.
Located in The Landing area of Disney Springs, advance dining reservations are strongly recommended due to its popularity. Getting to Wine Bar George is simple when staying onsite at a Disney Resort. Simply hop on the bus heading to Disney Springs and enjoy the ride. Remember that buses from Disney Springs go to resorts only - not the parks. If you are staying off site, complimentary parking is available in the parking garages at Disney Springs. Park Pass Reservations are not required to dine at Disney Springs locations.
