T-Rex Restaurant

For the most up-to-date information about the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the  Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide.

Surround yourself with the sights and sounds of a pre-historic world when you explore T-REX, a dinosaur-themed cafe overflowing with hands-on discovery zones and creative cuisine. Guests will travel back 200 million years for a Jurassic adventure and megalosaurus-sized eats.

Squawking pterosaurs, wooly mammoths, a massive octopus, and life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, including a 15 foot-tall T-Rex, make for a roaring good time. With themed rooms depicting diverse primordial landscapes from a color changing ice cavern to a fern forest budding with giant wasps, you can spend ages wandering from area to area. Every 20 minutes or so, witness a meteor shower complete with rumbling and fiery explosions.

From salads to steaks, you can tear into tasty tectonic plates that every creature in your family will enjoy. Brought to you by the same folks behind Rainforest Cafe, T-REX features American fare sure to please herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores alike.

Dino-dads and moms (and grandmas and grandpas and friends, etc.) will have a hard time deciding what to choose from this very generous menu. Appetizers, including flatbread, nachos, and meatballs, are mammoth enough to be your meal. Guests looking for lighter fare can choose from a nice selection of salads and grain bowls. A variety of burgers & sandwiches, seafood offerings, pasta, and carnivorous selections round out the menu. And if your meal hasn’t filled you to the brim, the dessert menu does not disappoint. Hunter-gatherers 21 years of age and older can choose from a selection of mixed drinks, beer, and wine.

Hatchlings will be ravenous for the Paleo Pizza. Sliders, corn dogs, and pasta are just a few of the many options on the menu. And don’t forget to save room for special kid-sized desserts. The kids’ menu at T-REX has something that everyone will love - including entrees, desserts, and drinks.

T-REX is located at Disney Springs, so no park admission is required. Lunch is served from 11:00AM to 3:55PM and dinner is offered from 4:00PM until 10:05PM. Hours are subject to change.

To get to Disney Springs, you can take Disney transportation from any theme park or your Disney Resort Hotel. If you are staying at Old Key West or Saratoga Springs, you can walk to Disney Springs or take the water taxi. As a reminder, buses do not go from Disney Springs back to theme parks. If you are driving yourself to Disney Springs, complimentary parking is available in parking garages and surface lots.

T-REX has one of the largest menus on all of Disney property. Portions are very generous, and guests could easily share a meal if they wanted. While dinosaur lovers will delight in the dining experience, younger children may be frightened by the larger than life creatures, loud noises, and low lighting.

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
