Endless Summer Resort

Universal’s Endless Summer Resort - Surfside Inn and Suites & Dockside Inn and Suites - is the newest addition to the Universal Orlando Resort. While the resorts offer the same amenities and room types, the main difference is the theming of each resort. With plenty of standard rooms and spacious, two-bedroom suites that sleep six, it’s a great spot for families of any size to base their Universal vacation. Inspired by sand, sea, and breathtaking sunsets, Dockside Inn has a coastal vibe and comes with all the fun and convenience of staying with Universal—including awesome theme park benefits.

The rooms at both Dockside and Surfside are themed a bit differently, but have the same layout in both the standard room and the 2-bedroom suite. The classic rooms with two queen beds come in a standard view or pool view. Families will feel like they are at a beachy retreat in the spacious, 2-bedroom suites that sleep up to six guests. The suites include a kitchenette area, a cool picnic table for meals and hanging out, and a bathroom with separate bath and vanity areas.

Both Surfside and Dockside have a casual food court - Pier 8 Market at Dockside and Beach Break Cafe at Surfside. The food courts are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the options are plentiful! There are grab and go options for guests who are ready to head to the parks and there are many options for those that want to sit back and have a more relaxing meal. Both resorts offer a bar, Starbucks, and pizza delivery.

The pool at Surfside is shaped like a surfboard and is the perfect place to soak up some sun and relax. It’s easy to make a splash at Dockside with two large pools, a children’s play area, and sand beaches. Both resorts offer a game room and a fitness center. The lobby area would not be complete without a Universal Studios Store for your souvenir shopping.

Why stay at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort?
  • Guests enjoy early admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
  • Fun, free, and easy transportation to the parks using shuttle buses
  • Resort-wide charging privileges
  • Have your theme park purchases delivered to the resort
Our thoughts on Endless Summer Resort:
The two bedroom suites are a really nice option for families who want a little more space. The picnic table is a great addition to the room and offers families a nice space to dine in the room or just hang out together.

The food courts are outstanding with so many great options offered at a reasonable price. Our team recently enjoyed breakfast here and it was delicious.

The property is located across Interstate 4 from the parks and City Walk. Guests will use buses to get to the parks - there is no walking path and no water taxi service.

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
