Cabana Bay Beach Resort offers standard rooms with two queen beds that sleep up to four guests. Family suites sleep up to six guests with two queen beds and a pull out sofa. The suite includes a sliding privacy partition and a compartmentalized bathroom layout so that three people can get ready at once. The suites include a kitchenette with a mini refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink.
If you have your car with you, overnight self parking costs $18 per vehicle per night.
Cabana Bay also has some really nice dining options. The Bayliner Diner is a food court area with selections that include deli items, pizzas, burgers, and desserts. The Hideaway Bar & Grill is just steps away from the lazy river and you can find snacks and meals here, along with frozen drinks and adult beverages. Atomic Tonic is located on the Cabana Courtyard pool deck and serves sandwiches, wraps, salads, and Doner kebabs along with a variety of beverages. The Galaxy Bowl Restaurant has a full menu that includes made-to-order sandwiches, hamburgers, pizza, chicken wings, and more. You can chill out with a refreshing collection of cocktails and snacks at the Swizzle Lounge, located in the hotel’s lobby. If you require your morning (or noon, or night) coffee fix, stop by Starbucks, located just off of the resort’s lobby. Pizza delivery is also available during limited hours.
Cabana Bay does not lack in the pool and activity department! The Cabana Courtyard pool has its very own dive tower-themed water slide, poolside bar and grill, cabanas for rent, shaded picnic tables and a large fire pit. The Lazy River Courtyard pool features a winding river, sand beach, poolside bar and grill, two fire pits, and plenty of outdoor seating to soak up the Florida sunshine.

The Jack LaLanne Physical Fitness Studio lets you get in shape surrounded by memorabilia of the famed television physical fitness pioneer. The fitness studio is complimentary for resort guests.
You can also take advantage of arcade favorites at Game-O-Rama. Additional charges apply. And if shopping is your thing, visit the Universal Studios Store located just off of the resort lobby.
Why stay at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort?
Suzanne recently stayed in an exterior entry family suite and last year, we toured the interior entry family suite. Suzanne says that the interior entry suite is much brighter and that she prefers it to the exterior entry suite.
The Volcano Bay View rooms have the best views not only of Cabana Bay, but maybe of all of the Universal Resorts. If you do not require a family suite, this view is well worth the upgrade.
Guests staying at Cabana Bay should plan a non-park day to enjoy the pools and lazy river. And if it’s a rainy day, guests can always spend some time bowling at Galaxy Bowl.
