There are a handful of ways to get to Epcot and the Germany Pavilion! A favorite of many is to enter from the International Gateway at the back of Epcot---by either staying at the Boardwalk area hotels or by traveling via the Disney Skyliner to enter at the back of the park. The Germany Pavilion is located between the China and Italy Pavilions. If you are utilizing the traditional Disney bus system, you will arrive at the front of Epcot’s entry gates and take about a 20 minute walk to the Epcot's World Showcase area. You will head to the left once you enter the World Showcase and arrive at Biergarten in the Germany Pavilion.
The restaurant is set up to resemble a traditional Bavarian village in the middle of Oktoberfest. The large indoor space provides guests with a true sense of being in an outdoor garden after twilight, while nestled among the buildings of a quaint German village. The seating is a mix of small tables and large, communal tables. If you are looking for a romantic meal or a quiet dining experience, this may not be the best dining option for you.
Biergarten Restaurant is open daily from 12pm to 8pm. It is family-friendly and theme park attire is welcomed. Biergarten Restaurant participates in the Disney Dining Plan and requires 1 table-service credit. (As a reminder, Disney currently is not offering Dining Plans) If you are paying out of pocket, you can expect to spend $35-$59.99 per person.
As with all dining locations located within parks, park admission is required in order to dine, and at the time of writing, guests are required to have a Park Pass Reservation. Reservations are recommended, which in the world of Disney really means required. It can be difficult to walk up to dine at this location without one. Your On The Road Travel Specialist will be available to assist you with how and when to make your dining reservations.
The buffet at Biergarten Restaurant offers plenty of authentic German cuisine like nudelgratin (baked macaroni with cheese custard), various sausages, spaetzle, schnitzel, and rotisserie chicken. There are a slew of German beers and wines to go along with your meal, available at an additional cost. Be sure to save room for dessert with delicious options like black forest cake, apple strudel, and Bavarian cheesecake.
My family has dined at Germany’s Biergarten Restaurant a few times over the years. It is a fun and unique dining experience when visiting Epcot. I recommend sampling a number of dishes to gain an appreciation for German cuisine. We enjoy the opportunity to dine inside the theme park at a restaurant with a lively atmosphere, delicious food, and a friendly waitstaff. We also treasure the opportunity to step away from the theme park crowds, rest for a bit, and prepare to conquer the remainder of the day!
If you are looking to celebrate Oktoberfest with authentic German while you enjoy the tunes of a lively Polka bank, head off to Biergarten Restaurant!
