Teppan Edo

Updated 6/16/22
For the most up-to-date information about the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the  Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide.

Teppan Edo is a Japanese, Sushi style restaurant and is considered unique or themed dining at Walt Disney World. This hibachi-style grill is located within Epcot's World Showcase, in the country of Japan. In addition to a confirmed dining reservation, in-park dining at table-service restaurants requires a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date for each person in your party ages 3 and up. When dining plans are offered, Teppan Edo requires one table service credit.

At Teppan Edo you can celebrate authentic Japanese cuisine during an exciting dining experience that’s part meal, part show. In the communal ritual of Teppan-yaki-style cooking, skillful chefs chop and stir-fry dishes on grills at your table. For those with food allergies or dietary restrictions, the staff at Teppan Edo do a fantastic job of catering to you to ensure all food needs are met. Be sure to communicate any dietary restrictions with your chef, as soon as being seated.

Guests may select from steak, chicken, seafood, and vegetable entrées, which are served with udon noodles and steamed rice. You can also enjoy such favorites as edamame and assorted sushi rolls.

Children's selections include, shrimp, chicken, or steak served with garden salad, seasonal vegetables, udon noodles, and steamed white rice.

Guests 21 years of age and over can pair their meal with Japanese beer, wine, hot or cold sake and even a sake cocktail.

If you enjoy something sweet at the end of your meal be sure to check out the Matcha Tiramisu, Chocolate Ginger Cake, or the Yuzu Mousse Cake.

Your entree at Teppan Edo will cost between $15 (children) and $34.99 (adult), depending on which items you choose. Appetizers, sushi, and cocktails are offered at an additional charge. Advance reservations are highly recommended when planning to dine at Teppan Edo.

This dining location is a fun and relaxing spot to get some good, healthy (by theme park standards) food in our bellies and be entertained. The chefs are highly skilled and it is mesmerizing to watch them chop, flip and build an occasional onion volcano. I would recommend this unique dining location to guests of all ages.

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
