Tony's Town Square Restaurant

Updated 6/16/22
For the most up-to-date information about the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the  Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide.

Everyone loves Italian, but this is no ordinary Italian restaurant - it’s where Lady and the Tramp had their first kiss.

Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is a charming turn-of-the-century trattoria located on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park. The restaurant’s expansive front porch is the perfect spot to wait for your reservation, and you might even catch a glimpse of a character or two while you’re there. In the lobby, Disney’s 1955 animated classic, Lady and the Tramp, plays in the background while pictures of its famous love-struck stars grace the walls.

Tony the restaurateur welcomes you with hearty Italian meals that your family will howl for. Begin your meal with Fried Mozzarella or one of the salads. Then, feast on favorites like Chicken Parmigiana, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Spaghetti with pork and beef meatballs. The dessert menu includes traditional Italian favorites like Tiramisu Cannoli, and Gelato. The kids’ menu includes Italian favorites, as well as popular kid-friendly options. Tony’s offers a selection of wine and beer for those who are able to enjoy an adult beverage.

Tony’s menu is moderately priced and has something for every guest. Entrees start at $22 and go up to $35. When Disney offers a dining plan, Tony’s is included and requires one table service entitlement when the dining plan is available. Advance reservations are recommended and currently can be made 60 days in advance. Guests can enjoy lunch and dinner at Tony’s Town Square.

Tony’s is located inside Magic Kingdom Park and not only is park admission required, but as of this writing, guests will also need to have a park pass reservation. Guests can use Disney transportation from their resort, Disney Springs, and other parks to get to Magic Kingdom. If you are lucky enough to be staying at The Contemporary Resort or Bay Lake Tower, Magic Kingdom is a short walk.

I had not dined at Tony’s in many years prior to my last visit, which was in 2019. My son and I enjoyed a really nice meal together and I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Service exceeded expectations - our waitress was attentive and anticipated our every need. Our meal was well-paced and we did not feel rushed at all. After a HOT day in the parks, it was nice to sit down and enjoy a relaxing and delicious meal.

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
