Character Dining at the Garden Grill

Updated 6/16/22
For the most up-to-date information about the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the  Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide.

The Garden Grill is a favorite character dining experience tucked away in The Land pavilion at Epcot. Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale make the rounds to greet guests at this rotating restaurant. Guests are invited to dine on a family style meal while the restaurant rotates through scenes of the Living with the Land attraction.

Characters are available at lunch and dinner. Lunch is offered from 11:30 AM until 3:40 PM. Finally, Dinner is served beginning at 3:45 PM and goes until 8:00 PM. Lunch and dinner are served family style. Garden salad, Barbecue-roasted chicken, Spoon Bread, Grilled Beef, Seasonal Vegetables, and Mashed Potatoes are on the menu for lunch and dinner. A seasonal dessert is a great way to top off your meal. We’ve enjoyed apple crisp and berry short cake at recent visits. Some of the items on the menu are even grown and harvested in the greenhouses in The Land pavilion.

Garden Grill is included on the dining plan program (not currently available) as a table service credit. Guests may enjoy an all they care to eat family style meal that includes a non-specialty, non-alcoholic beverage. Specialty drinks, wine, and beer are offered at an additional charge. If you are not on a dining plan or are paying for the meal out of pocket, you can expect to pay $55 per adult and $36 for children (ages 3-9) at breakfast. Remember that gratuities are not included and for a party of 6 or more, it will be automatically added to your bill.

Garden Grill is located inside Epcot which means that park entry is required to dine at the location. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 60 days prior to your visit. All character experiences are subject to change without notice.

Character interaction at Garden Grill has been exceptional over the years when we’ve dined. Because the restaurant is smaller and you don’t have to leave your seat to visit the buffet, you often get more than one opportunity to visit with Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale.

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
