Thinking About a Cruise?

\
Are you thinking about a cruise?

Are you looking for something fun, entertaining, relaxing, with amazing food, or a desire to see multiple destinations?

Then cruising may be for you! The cruising industry is growing rapidly with more people cruising and new ships being built every year.

Some of the great reasons are stress free planning. You will see multiple ports without having to worry about hotels, food, or transportation. Another reason why cruising may be for you is the value. They are like an all inclusive vacation. A travel agent can help you with finding a great price and you pay for everything upfront so you can easily stick to a budget. You can even book your excursions before you depart and there are no hidden fees.

There are activities for all ages. Shows, casinos, spas, youth programs, and pools. Some of the ships even have ice skating, rock climbing, go carts, ziplines, ropes courses, trampoline parks, and more!

Many people have the same questions.

Do I have to dress up? The answer is - everything is optional. It’s your vacation. Almost every ship will have a formal night in the main dining room, but clients can choose to eat at the buffet that night or at a casual quick service location.

Are cruises crowded? As we talked about earlier, there is something for everyone. With so many activities, people are spread out. Some ports may be busy with multiple ships in port, but if you book an excursion through your ship, you will always have a great time and get away from the crowds.

But what about sea sickness? Well this depends on the person, but the cruise industry is always making bigger ships with better stabilization. There is also medication, and you can also book a cabin more mid ship, which helps considerably. I recommend a 3-4 night cruise for first timers, just to see how you will feel and maybe a balcony cabin so you can see the view and have easy access to fresh air.

Adventure awaits on the high seas. This year there will be 8 new ships sailing the ocean. Carnival has the new Mardi Gras; Royal Caribbean will have a new mega ship the Odyssey of the Seas; and a new company called Virgin Voyages will be starting adult only cruises on the Scarlet Lady in March. Probably the most exciting new ship will be the Disney Wish, setting sail in January of 2021. This will be Disney’s newest ship since 2012. We can’t wait!

Finally, when should you book? The earlier the better! The best price in general is when itineraries are first released. Once you book a cruise, if a promotion comes out later, your travel agent can apply the promotion to keep you at the lowest rate. This is where a travel agent is so valuable. We receive promotions daily and we can help you find the best price for cruising.

We love cruising and we love helping people cruise. Get out there and see the world!

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. And o
