The B Resort and Spa at Disney Springs

Updated 5/31/2022 Be sure to request a Resort Guide at the front desk so that you can have the most up-to-date information about resort happenings and schedules. For the most up-to-date information about the phased re-opening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide.

If you’re looking for an alternative to Disney property, but want to stay as close to the magic as possible, you may want to consider the B Resort and Spa at Disney Springs. Located just down the street from Disney Springs, Disney has designated the B as one of its Good Neighbor hotels, meaning it maintains certain standards required by Disney to keep that designation . . . and offer additional benefits (we’ll get to that in a second).

The B is definitely for those who enjoy a sleek and contemporary, yet comfortable resort. There are various accommodations available among the 394 rooms at the B that range from your traditional hotel room, to rooms with bunk beds, a walk out, or poolside suites. Their large, zero entry pool provides an option to cool down for the littlest travelers and to those young at heart. The three restaurants and two bars on site allow you to grab a bite to eat without traveling too far, and the kids zone arcade can help entertain your crew in a down moment or two. Additionally, the B offers a 24-hour fitness center and a 24-hour business center.

Disney transportation busses do not make stops at the B, but the hotel does offer complimentary transportation to and from all four parks and Disney Springs. It should be noted that the bus is shared with another resort or two in the area, so wait times vary and are often longer than those you would experience at a Disney Resort.  Reservations and Boarding Passes are required and the front desk can assist you with those reservations.   If you need to grab last minute souvenirs before heading home, the B also houses an official Disney store just off of the lobby. And, if you’re a golfer, you can also take advantage of discount green fees for Walt Disney World golf courses.

Your partners at On the Road Travel can help you book the B or any other Disney Good Neighbor Hotel in addition to the Walt Disney World properties. The B is an excellent option for those guests who expect to spend most of their days in the park and just need a place to rest their heads at night, and is definitely worth considering when looking for something just a little different.

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
