Relax in the whirlpool spa, and enjoy refreshments and light bites from the poolside bar while you relax in a cabana (rentals available at an additional charge). Kids can delight in bubbling geysers at the children’s water play area and the pool’s gently sloping, zero-depth entry similar to a natural beach. Bay Lake Tower guests can enjoy the recreation areas at The Contemporary Resort, but the pool at this resort is reserved for Bay Lake Tower guests only.

Other Recreation:
Guests can mosey on over to The Contemporary Resort to enjoy movies under the stars, volleyball, tennis, a jogging trail, and a playground. The Contemporary also offers campfire activities and marshmallow roasts. If your kiddos haven’t already had enough fun, they can also play video games, pinball, and more at The Game Station. Lakeside Yoga is a great way to start your day. Guests can also rent boats and schedule fishing excursions and specialty cruises at the resort marina. The Olympiad Fitness Center is a full service facility featuring exercise equipment.

Dining:
There are no dining options located within Bay Lake Tower itself, but many options can be found next door at The Contemporary Resort.

  • California Grill - This signature dining location offers an award-winning culinary experience and an epic vantage point for brunch or dinner. Dinner guests can enjoy a wonderful view of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks.
  • Chef Mickey’s - Join Mickey, Minnie, and friends for an all-you-care-to-enjoy family style breakfast/brunch or dinner.
  • Steakhouse 71 -  This is the newest addition to the Contemporary Resort.  The menu is inspired by some of Walt's favorites with a nod to Florida favorites.
  • Contempo Cafe - Catch breakfast, lunch or dinner at this quick service location. Diners might catch a glimpse of the monorail gliding by overhead while enjoying their meal.
  • Cove Bar - Make the most of this private pool bar that offers a full menu of adult beverages.
  • The Sand Bar - Plant yourself poolside after picking up something to munch on from the quick-service bar and lounge.
  • Contemporary Grounds - Jumpstart your day with some java and a pastry - or perhaps a smoothie - at this convenient coffee counter.
  • Outer Rim - The perfect time to enjoy this lovely lounge is as the sun is setting over Bay Lake.

Gift Shops:
Bay Lake Tower does not have its own gift shop, but there are three shops located in The Contemporary where you can find everything you need. Bayview Gifts offers men’s and women’s clothing, watches, unique souvenirs, and small decor for the home. The shop also carries necessities like sunscreen and beach wear. Fantasia is right next to Bayview Gifts and carries Disney-branded clothing for adults and kids and the types of souvenirs you’d find in the parks. Fantasia Market is the spot to visit for newspapers, magazines, over the counter medicines, beauty necessities, and snacks.

Cons:
  • Bay Lake Tower itself does not offer dining, shopping or many recreation options. All of these can be found a short walk away at The Contemporary Resort.
  • Because DVC members are able to gain first access to rooms at Bay Lake Tower, there can be very limited inventory for non-DVC members.

Pros:
  • Bay Lake Tower guests can take advantage of Extended Theme Park hours.  These extended hours allow you to stay late at Epcot or Magic Kingdom on select nights to enjoy the magic of the parks after official closing time.
  • Location, Location, Location. Proximity to Magic Kingdom is a huge perk of this resort. If you are planning a trip with multiple days at Magic Kingdom, Bay Lake Tower is a great resort choice.
  • All rooms offer a view of either Magic Kingdom or Bay Lake, and include a balcony on which you can enjoy the scenery.
  • The rooms are very spacious and there is space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the accommodations.
  • DVC members have exclusive access to the Top of the World Lounge located at this resort where you can enjoy an appetizer and cocktail while you watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
