The Magic of Magic Bands

Your Disney World vacation is booked and linked to your MyDisneyExperience account! Everyone's MagicBands have been personalized and the countdown has begun! You know it’s almost time for your vacation when you receive your MagicBands in the mail! They’re new and colorful and everyone is so excited, but what do MagicBands do exactly?

Your MagicBand:

...lets you check-in for Disney’s Magical Express

Pack your MagicBand in your carry-on luggage if you are flying into Orlando International Airport. When the plane lands, put your MagicBand on and use it to check-in for Disney’s Magical Express, and board the bus to your resort.

...is your room key

When you get to your resort, just raise your MagicBand to the touch point on the door to unlock your room with ease. No need to worry about searching for a key or having your hands free.

...is your park & special event ticket

You’ve purchased park or special event tickets that have been linked to your MagicBand through MyDisneyExperience. Scan your band at the entrance to the park for easy admission. Each person wears their own MagicBand, so you don’t have to dig tickets out of your pocket for every member of your party.

...lets you check-in for the FastPass line

When your FastPass window opens, just show up to the FastPass entrance. A Cast Member will ask you to scan your MagicBand and a green light and happy sound will signal that you are good to go!

...tracks your dining plan credits

Don’t worry about keeping track of your Dining Plan credits – your MagicBand will do that for you! Scan your band every time you redeem credits, and your receipt will let you know how many credits remain.

...acts as a form of payment

Connect a credit card to your MagicBand to simplify and expedite all your purchases. This way you can just scan your MagicBand at the register, take your purchase, and go!

...connects your PhotoPass images & videos to your account

Disney’s PhotoPass photographers are found all over Disney World. They will take pictures of your whole group in front of iconic locations, and during character experiences. Pictures and/or short video are also taken at select rides and restaurants to capture a moment that you can keep forever. Just scan these images to your MagicBand to access them on your My Disney Experience account.

...can unlock magical surprises at select Disney World locations

Keep your eyes open, and you may be surprised by a magical surprise, such as a personalized goodbye on it’s a small world or your own concert poster on Rock N’ Roller Coaster.

...is waterproof

Swim, go on the water rides, and get rained on - no problem! Your MagicBand is waterproof so you won’t have to worry about keeping it dry!

Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
