All Inclusive Disney

I get asked so many times, “Why do we keep going to Disney? All those people! Isn’t it for little kids? Don’t you want to relax?”

Well before my family’s first trip to Disney, I asked some of those same questions. I had wonderful memories of Disneyland as a child, and my wife felt we needed to take our boys, ages 5 and 7. So we started working with our On The Road Travel Agent, Chris, and bombarded her with questions. First, she helped us pick a less crowded time of the year with a great promotion, Free Dining, which was my big selling point. She helped us pick a resort, Fast Passes, Magical Express transportation, and, my favorite part, the Dining Reservations. These things can be incredibly overwhelming without a good travel agent.

Even though we had everything planned, I was still preparing for the worst as we landed at the Orlando airport. But as soon as we got on the Magical Express transportation, I could feel the excitement - and no stress! A comfortable coach ride, and no need for directions - just sit back and relax. A short time later, we were being dropped off at our resort. We were in a preferred room at the recommendation of our travel agent, which I learned means a short walk from the bus spot. We had a quick dinner with no worry about our budget, and were off to the pool. Did I mention unlimited refills with my resort mug? Just like an all inclusive resort!

The next day we were up early to conquer the Magic Kingdom, but still I felt, “okay, here comes the crowds and standing in line.” But again, a bus picked me up and delivered me to the park with no stress about parking or directions, plus it was free! We arrived early for the park opening ceremonies, and you could see the excitement in my kids. Into the park we went, enjoying its beauty.
Soon I realized that with Fast Passes there were no lines, and I felt like a VIP. The crowds were minimal and we were able to do everything we planned. With the dining plans we also got snacks included, so no worry about a budget, and the kids loved the snacks! Okay...I loved the ice cream Mickey sandwiches also.

For this trip we also pre purchased the Photopass Memory Maker at a discount, and the Disney photographers took a ton of great pictures that we cherish still today. The best thing was watching my kids have just as much fun as their mother. We spent a week at Disney, visiting every park with the same great experience, every day. As we ended that trip, I found myself saying “Now that was a Vacation!”

No driving, no worrying about a budget, great food, no meltdowns, no need for me to entertain the kids, great food, and great memories. Our trip was All Inclusive, but the key was our travel agent helping us with what could have been overwhelming.

On The Road Travel Agents enjoy helping you plan a trip just as much as they enjoy going to Disney themselves. Contact an agent today, and connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
