Meet Me Monday: Lisa Myers

Hints of spring have begun to pop up and what better way to embrace this new season than to add to our team! Please join us in the comments below as we welcome Lisa Myers to our On the Road Travel team as a Travel Agent Specializing in Disney Destinations!

Lisa is an Iowa native and went to Iowa State University where she met her husband/Prince Charming, Larry. They now live in Kansas City and have two daughters. Lisa and Larry love to travel as often as they can, but their favorite family vacations are always centered around a Disney Destination. Even when at home, a lot of their time is spent researching and planning for their next trip to Disney!

Lisa’s love for Disney started at a young age when she went to see The Little Mermaid at the movie theater. Then, as a teenager she saved her money from her summer job to help “fund” her first trip to Walt Disney World the following spring break (if you want a fun story, ask her about their flight and what happened when she arrived at the resort). However, going as an adult with her husband and 2 daughters is what took her love of Disney and morphed it into a passion. Lisa and her family are now proud Disney Vacation Club Members and have since broadened their Disney experiences even further.

Lisa is a very detailed person and a planner at heart so pulling together a customized, magical vacation felt like putting the pieces of a puzzle together – and she loves all of it! The payoff of seeing countless hours of preparation and planning shine on the faces of her daughters and husband (as he gets immersed in Star Wars) makes it all worth it. The memories of her daughters meeting all of the princesses for the first time is still one of her favorite memories.

This love of Disney and planning vacations is what drives Lisa’s passion when helping her family, friends and clients. She can’t wait to help you plan your next magical Disney Vacation. Lisa will take the time to understand what you are looking for in a vacation to make sure you have the vacation that best fits what your family wants with the attentiveness to detail that your vacation needs. So, whether this is your first trip or you’ve taken so many trips that you’ve lost count, there is always something new to discover, and Lisa’s first-hand experience will help you plan the perfect trip for you and your family!

Lisa’s Favorites:
Disney Resort: Animal Kingdom Lodge
Disney Treat: A TIE between Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich at Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom and the Dole Whip
Disney Souvenir: My Disney Princess Tree Ornaments
Disney Vacation Memory: Hands down the first time we took our daughters to Magic Kingdom. Seeing Disney through the eyes of my daughters brought a whole new meaning to the word “Magic”. Everything about that trip was wonderful.

Lisa is excited and honored to be a part of the On the Road Travel team and is so appreciative of all of the support her family and friends have provided her on this journey! Please connect with Lisa via:

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
