FastPass+ Pointers

FASTPASS+ (aka Fast Passes). They may be the most stressed about pre-Disney trip to do, but with a bit of knowledge and the insight from our agents, there is no reason to stress!

First, what is a Fast Pass?
A Fast Pass is a digital ticket that allows you priority loading at certain attractions at Walt Disney World. You are given a one-hour window of time in which you may enjoy the attraction. When it's time for your Fast Pass, you can use either your Magic Band or park ticket to scan into the Fast Pass queue, which allows for a shortened wait time.

What do Fast Passes Cost?
Nothing! Fast Passes are included in the cost of your theme park ticket.

How many FastPass+es do I get?
Each person is allowed to book 3 FastPass+es per day at the park to begin with. All three of those FastPass+es must be booked at the same park. After you use your initial 3 FastPass+es, you may obtain a fourth. After you use your fourth, you may obtain a fifth, etc. For this reason, it’s often best practice to book your initial Fast Passes for the morning, so that you can acquire more as the day goes on, either at the same park, or at a different park.

When can I get my FastPass+es?
Guests staying on Disney property can secure FastPass+es 60 days in advance of the first day you check in. That means if you are staying seven days on Disney property, you actually get to book your Fast Passes for the final day of your trip 67 days in advance. Official Walt Disney World Hotels are also allowed to book along this timeline, even though they are not considered to be on property.

Guests staying off Disney property may secure Fast Passes 30 days in advance of each day in the park. You must book the Fast Passes 30 days in advance of each individual park day, rather than booking all of them 30 days in advance of the first day of your trip.

Which Fast Passes should I get!?
This is exactly where your travel agent can give you expert advice! This question varies depending upon the attractions you like and your trip priorities; families with older children may want Fast Passes for all roller coasters, whereas families with young children may prioritize princess meet and greets. And don't forget, your party can always split up for a Fast Pass! Maybe the thrill seekers want to take on the Tower of Terror, while the others prefer to check out the Frozen Sing Along Celebration - no problem! You can often book your party for different attractions during the same time window, so you can meet up afterward.

Generally, it is a good idea to get Fast Passes for any roller coaster (Rock’n Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest, etc), any new attraction (Avatar Flight of Passage is a must right now), or any “Frozen” attraction (Frozen Ever After in particular).

How do I make my Fast Pass reservations?
The My Disney Experience portal is your gateway to your Disney World trip! At the 60 or 30 day mark, My Disney Experience will allow you to make those reservations after you select the “FastPass+”. Don't forget, you must have purchased a valid theme park admission in order to book your FastPass+! You are only able to book Fast Pass for the number of days you have a ticket.

Our agents can help you identify and prioritize your Fast Pass selections and set a plan to tour the parks in the best way possible. Drop us a note today!

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
