Meet Me Monday: Emily Scharbrough

It’s Monday again, and this week we’re introducing you to part two of the Scharbrough Travel Agent Team!

Emily's love of Disney and traveling did not develop until later in her life. In fact, as a child she was always the one who would rather stay at home. When in junior high, Emily traveled to Walt Disney World with her family for the first time. She also recalls visiting Disney World while swimming in college. During winter training trips, the team would always take one day off from the pool and drive from Ft Lauderdale to Orlando for a day of fun at Disney World.

It was not until 2011, when Emily and Fred took their own children to Disney World for the first time, that she fell in love with Disney and traveling. The entire trip was so well orchestrated by their agent at the time, (now owner of On The Road Travel) Chris Cook-Leitz. The boys loved the kid-friendly resort, All Star Movies, the restaurants were delicious, the transportation was so easy, and the theme parks were extra magical! The kids were in awe of everything new, and seemed to enjoy each other a little more than the normal day at home! It was perfect! The day we returned home, we had already started planning our next trip to Disney.

Since then, Emily's love of Disney and traveling has continued to grow. She visits Disney World often, has sailed with Disney Cruise Line, and has experienced Disneyland in California as well. In addition, Emily enjoys visiting Universal Studios, and has sailed with five major cruise lines. She enjoys experiencing new destinations with her family.

Some of Emily's Disney favorites include:
Disney resort - The Polynesian
Restaurant - O'hana
Snack - Disney themed cupcakes or Mickey rice krispy treats
Theme park - Magic Kingdom
Destination - Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas

Emily's greatest joy as a travel agent is helping others to experience a stress-free vacation, from the moment planning begins, to the final day of their trip. She enjoys hearing about her client's experiences, and the fun memories they were able to create while traveling. Emily can assist you with booking all Disney destinations, Disney Cruise Line, Universal Studios, Sea World, all major cruise lines, and more!

You can connect with Emily via Facebook or our website!

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
