Celebration Town Tavern

Updated 6/16/22

Located just off of Disney World property, you’ll find the adorable little town of Celebration, Florida. The Walt Disney Company founded the Celebration community back in 1994, and it has been growing ever since. With only about 10,000 residents, you definitely get the feeling of a quaint small town with focus on community and neighborhood. At the center of the town, you’ll find commercial areas including Downtown Celebration, Shoppes at Celebration Place, and Water Tower Shoppes, with a wide variety of shopping and dining opportunities.

On Front Street, right in the middle of the action, you’ll find the Celebration Town Tavern - one of my family’s absolute favorite places in the world. Their website says “Comfortable is the key world” and we couldn’t agree more. The family owned seafood and steakhouse is our happy place away from the parks. While their focus is Boston seafood, there’s something on the menu for everyone (including me who does not like seafood). You can enjoy your meal in the indoor pub-like dining area, the main dining room, or on one of their large outdoor patios with a full bar, and big screen TVs so you don’t miss your favorite games.

The Tavern is open for lunch and dinner from 11am-9pm Sunday through Thursday and 1a1m-10pm Friday and Saturday. They also have brunch on Sundays from 11am-1pm. Their menu spans from “Startahs” like onion rings, chicken wings, fried calamari, gator bites, and fried clam strips to Boston favorites like fish n chips, lobster rolls, and the Henkle favorite - the Fishwich. For those less interested in seafood, there are plenty of burgers, chicken, steaks, and other sandwiches. One of my go-tos is the Chicken Philly sandwich.

The kids menu includes classics like chicken fingers, cheeseburger sliders, mac and cheese, and of course fish and chips, amongst others.

If you have a rental car or a little extra time and are willing to take a ride share, the Celebration Town Tavern makes for a wonderful night out. Plus, just down the street, you’ll find the Kilwins ice cream shop, where you can stop for a scoop of your favorite - ours is the toasted coconut in a waffle bowl.

If you happen to be visiting during the holidays, they go all out with snoap, an ice skating rink, and all kinds of decorations. It’s truly magical!

We would definitely recommend a trip over to Celebration on your next Disney World vacation. To start planning your next trip, contact your On The Road Travel agent. You can also connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. A...
