BoardWalk Inn Resort

Updated 4/6/2022 - Be sure to request a Resort Guide at the front desk so that you can have the most up-to-date information about resort happenings and schedules. For the most up-to-date information about the phased re-opening of the Walt Disney World Resort, please visit the Walt Disney World Know Before You Go Guide.

Located within walking distance of Epcot and Hollywood Studios on Crescent Lake, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort takes you back to an early-20th-century East Coast beach boardwalk. This Deluxe resort has a little something for everyone including carnival games, shopping, and great food.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
2101 North Epcot Resorts Blvd.
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Room Accommodations:
BoardWalk’s standard rooms offer either 2 queen beds and a day bed; 2 queen beds; 1 king bed; or 1 king bed and a day bed. This allows room for up to 5 guests plus one infant under 3.

BoardWalk also offers Club Level service and Deluxe Villas if you’re traveling with a larger group or want to live in extra luxury for your vacation!

Dining:
The BoardWalk Inn has a variety of dining options!

Flying Fish - This is the place to be if you’re looking to get a little fancy or have a date night. As a Signature Dining location, there is a bit of a dress code. Flying Fish offers sustainable seafood and prime steaks. Plus, you can stop by Abracadabar to try a magical cocktail in a sophisticated social club.

Big River Grille & Brewing Works - Big River is much more casual and family friendly. The microbrewery and restaurant serves high quality burgers and beers. It’s a great way to relax after a long day in the parks.

Trattoria al Forno - Do you have Tangled and Little Mermaid fans in your group? Then you’ll definitely want to make reservations for the character breakfast here. For dinner, you can find quick, casual Italian cuisine.

BoardWalk Bakery - A great quick service location to grab a coffee and a pastry on your walk to Epcot. This is also where you can fill your resort mug throughout your stay.

Other notable quick service stations include BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas, BoardWalk Ice Cream, the Funnel Cake Cart, Pizza Window, and the To Go Cart (for hotdogs, burgers, and sandwiches).

This resort also offers room service, and you can grab a drink at the BelleVue Lounge and Leaping Horse Libations (by the main pool).

If you are in the mood for an adult-only night out, Jellyrolls Dueling Pianos is a great place to spend the evening. This is for the over 21 crowd and requires a cover charge for admission. You can enjoy munching on popcorn while enjoying your beverages and listening to the musicians play the audience requests.

Pools:
The Luna Park pool is BoardWalk’s feature pool where you’ll find the Mickey and friends themed water features and water slide. There are also two leisure pools if you’re looking for some quiet time.

Recreation:
BoardWalk offers campfire activities, surrey bike rentals, boat rentals, fishing, tennis, a playground near the Luna Park pool, a jogging path, Movies Under the Stars, and an arcade in case you haven’t had quite enough fun yet. There are also some shops along the BoardWalk where you can pick up your souvenirs or grab anything you may have forgotten at home.

Transportation:
Mears Connect is a shuttle service that takes travelers to and from Orlando International Airport (MCO). Consult with your On The Road Travel agent on how to book this transportation.

Bussing is provided to all parks and Disney Springs - approximately every 10-15 minutes, there will be a bus to those locations. Once on the bus, below you'll find the approximate time it takes to get from BoardWalk Inn to those locations.

Bussing is available for free to and from all four theme parks and Disney Springs:
Magic Kingdom - approx. 23 minutes
Epcot - approx. 8 minutes (see additional options below)
Hollywood Studios - approx. 20 minutes (see additional options below)
Animal Kingdom - approx. 25 minutes

Lyft, Uber, and Taxis are available for quick service to anywhere you may need to go, on or off Disney property. Prices vary.

Friendship Boats are also available for about a 10 minute ride to Epcot and a 20 minute ride to Hollywood Studios. It also travels between the Yacht & Beach Club, and Swan & Dolphin resorts.

BoardWalk Inn is less than a 10 minute walk to the International Gateway at Epcot, where you will also find the Skyliner that can take you to Hollywood Studios and other Disney Resorts. If you choose to walk to Hollywood Studios, plan for it to take 25-30 minutes.

If you happen to rent a car or drive yourself to this resort, overnight parking is $25 per night.

Cons:
Many of the view options from your balcony are less than exciting - lots of parking lots and bus stops.
There aren’t really any dining options inside the hotel proper. You have to go down to the actual Boardwalk (which can get pretty busy, especially on the weekends)
You can easily walk to Beach Club and Yacht Club to take advantage of entertainment and dining options.

Pros:
The location is excellent if your plan is to check out the World Showcase at Epcot or conquer Hollywood Studios.
If you’re up for a little bit of a crowd (which I assume you’re prepared for since it is Disney World after all) there are really great choices for dining and entertainment. There are street performances and great food stands, and if you want to hear some live music and dance, Jellyrolls is the place.

Overall, the BoardWalk Inn is definitely in my top 5 favorite Disney resorts. It’s clean and classic and there’s so much to do without having to leave the resort. I would definitely recommend it, especially if your family has kids aged 10 and up.

Gaston's Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a must for me at Christmas and this is one of my favorite recipes for look-alike Gaston’s Tavern Giant Cinnamon Rolls! I found it on Inside the Magic , so all recipe credit belongs to them, but I have copied it below with some of my commentary and photos of my step by step process. Homemade cinnamon rolls are always going to be a bit time consuming, but these only have to proof for 40 minutes total so it’s really not bad at all! First things first, here are the materials you’re going to need: Mixer (one with a dough hook will make your life much much easier) and bowl Rubber scrapers Rolling pin 2-3 saucepans Microwave safe bowls An area big enough to roll them out 2 metal sheet pans with edges Measuring cups Measuring spoons Medium sized bowl for filling Liquid measuring cup The nice thing about the recipe is it uses pretty basic ingredients that you likely already have at your house. I went to Aldi and bought nearly everything just to see and it was about $20. And o
